1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies (like localStorage) are small pieces of data a website can store in your browser. They can be essential — needed for a site to work — or non-essential, such as analytics, advertising and personalisation.
2. Our approach
This site sets no cookies. Not one. What we keep in your browser’s localStorage is the language you picked, so the site opens in it next time.
One more thing lives in that storage: the demos. They are fully working products, not pictures of products — so anything you enter while trying one, like a test booking at Fade Room, is kept locally and is still there when you come back. It never leaves your device, we never see it, and clearing this site’s browsing data removes it completely.
For traffic we use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless service that counts page views in aggregate: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no persistent identifiers, nothing that follows you anywhere. Since nothing is stored on your device for tracking and we run no ads, there is no consent banner to click on our own pages — there would be nothing to consent to.
One demo does show a cookie banner of its own. It belongs to the fictional business being demonstrated, the way its prices and opening hours do, and it is worth knowing that it sets no cookies either — whichever button you press is recorded in localStorage along with the rest of that demo’s working data.
3. What we store
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
emanoil_lang |
Essential · localStorage | Remembers whether you chose English or Romanian | Until you clear your browser storage |
Demos you open store their own working data under the same heading — a booking you made while testing, for instance. No cookies are set, by us or on our behalf. You can clear any of it at any time in your browser settings.
4. Third-party requests
To run, this site loads a few resources from third parties. None of them set cookies on our behalf on the pages of this site; the one exception is Google Maps, which appears only inside demos and is noted below. As with any web request, each provider receives your IP address and has its own policy:
- Google Fonts — serves the site’s typography.
- Unsplash — serves some imagery in our demos.
- FormSubmit — used only when you send the contact form, to deliver it to us by email.
- Google Maps — embedded location maps inside some demos. These are loaded from Google and, unlike everything else here, Google may set its own cookies once a map loads. Maps only appear inside demos, never on the pages of this site.
- Vercel Web Analytics — our host’s built-in, cookieless analytics; it counts page views without setting cookies or tracking you across sites.
See our Privacy Policy for how contact-form data is handled.
5. Managing what we store
There is no tracking to switch off, so there is nothing here to opt out of. If you want to clear the one item we keep, clear this site’s storage in your browser settings — the site will simply forget your language choice.
If we ever add something that genuinely needs your permission, we will ask for it properly before it runs, rather than after.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the current version.
